Independence, the mere definition of the word identifies the desire to be freed from a state of bondage.
The fact that we as the United States of America can set aside a specific day and date to acknowledge our national Independence is alone cause for celebration. This reminds us that we were once under tyrannical rule, unable to enjoy the basic freedoms we now take for granted, yet because of great personal sacrifice our Independence was won!
The USA is not perfect, but it’s still a great nation. Anything directed by the hand of man is ultimately destined for failure due to our imperfections. Yet anything man surrenders to the hand of the Divine is destined for greatness even through our imperfections, hence the need for humble submission, “One Nation Under God”.
If the United States is not what it should or could be as a beacon of freedom’s light to the world, then we only have ourselves to blame. But if it excels our expectations we should extend our gratitude to the Giver of freedom.
A gratitude for the drive He entrusted to the hearts of those who would carry liberty’s torch from generation to generation.
A gratitude for those in whom He placed a relentless passion to strategize the mission in the war room; those who would execute it on the battlefield; and those who would stand guard on the home-front.
Independence is not a one-and-done. Liberty’s flame must be fanned and passed from one generation to the next.
Each generation is held responsible to honor the founding mission and advance the continued pursuit of freedom as we guard against those who would snatch it away for power and wealth at the expense of its citizens.
It is well within our best interest to defend our established Republic. Otherwise we are in danger of falling into the deception of a twisted Democracy, which gradually devolves into a Socialistic system destroying the foundation of our nation, eventually diving headlong into Communism slowly stealing the soul’s of its populous and dragging us into the death-roll of a perverted monarchy, which is the archenemy of Republicanism.
I realize nothing lasts forever, but I will do what I am able, within my limited realm of influence, to ensure our great Republic stays intact, remaining fervent in prayer for Divine guidance and making the necessary adjustments to remain a thriving force for freedom that I may pass along to my children and grandchildren in hopes they will do the same for their generations to come.
I pray for our President, Vice President, and government officials and for the empowerment of our citizens to rise up and take a stand for the founding principles of this great nation as recorded in our Declaration of Independence.
